About Us
A creative partnership between Folko Kooper & Maureen Craig.
Prior to their move to Tasmania, thirteen years ago, Folko had already established his reputation as a sculptor with several shows in NSW. The business has grown further since he and Maureen moved to Tasmania and established their sculpture garden and studio at ‘Oakwood’ an historic 1830’s Georgian home set amongst 60 oak trees on 32 acres, half an hour north of Hobart.
Focusing on garden sculpture and water features the pair specialise in limited ranges and one-off pieces.
While Tasmanian sandstone continues to be a strong element they have integrated other materials into the work including glass, bronze, stainless steel, mild steel, halogen light and water.
Placed where they are most at home, in a garden setting, the works agreeably compliment and form pleasant contrasts with grass and greenery foliage and flowers.
Over the last seventeen years their work has been showcased in a series of well received shows including successful exhibitions every year since 1997 at Melbourne’s International Flower and Garden Show which has also been an important source of interstate and international commissions.
As successful self-supporting artists, Folko & Maureen understand the need to keep their output fresh through development and innovation.
They are happy to discuss site specific sculpture with gardeners, architects, landscape architects, and landscape designers.
Australia and worldwide freight to all capital cities, and other areas by arrangement. For further information see history section.
